If you have a few extra apples at hand and no one is eating, you can try making these super simple puff pastry apple pie. They take around 5 minutes if you have puff pastry read at your hand. Best part? You don’t even need to core the apples.

Can puff pastry be used for an apple pie?
Apple is one of my favorite fruits to bake with. Apple Crumble Cake, Apple Crisp, Moist apple cake and apple pie are some of my favorite ways to use apples in baking. Ingredients for this puff pastry apple pie are extremely simple (thanks to readymade puff pastry).
Apples – I used gala and did not peel, you can use any kind and depends on your preference to peel
Honey – good quality honey
Cinnamon Powder – ceylon cinnamon is supposed to be superior quality
Lemon Juice – a few squeezes
Puff Pastry – Good quality frozen squares
Substitutions and Variations
You can use tart or pie crust in place of puff pastry.
You can sprinkle a few chopped walnuts on apples before placing the puff pastry sheet.
If you love baking with puff pastry, my mini chicken pot pie is an amazing savory recipe.
Storage and Make Ahead
These quick tarts are often enjoyed warm shortly after baking. However you can re-heat them in oven for a couple of minutes (pre-heated) or air-fryer to enjoy warm.
They stay good at room temperature for up to a couple of days, covered in an air tight box.
To serve the apple tarts, dust them with icing sugar.
