This recipe for granola is super easy & healthy with no sugar or flour in it. It has a great combination of ingredients which when eaten with milk or yogurt (plain or Greek) can take you all the way to the lunch without feeling hungry. Throw in some berries or fruits and you have a wholesome yet delicious breakfast.
What makes granola crunchy?
Oats is the main ingredient of granola and is considered as one of the healthier carbs due to its high protein and fiber content. I prefer to use whole oats rather than quick or rolled oats which specially in case of granola crunches up perfectly. A tiny amount of sweeteners, hint of coconut, nuts & seeds; you will give yourself a pat at the back.
Why should you make granola at home?
Because it is easy, it yields big batch that can last upto a week or 10 days and is way healthier than store bought!
My husband who isn’t much of a sweet tooth (how lucky!) passed it as a nice occasional dessert and asked for more when it finished. You can make it on a weekend and keep it in an air tight container to last for a week (or less?).
This is also a versatile recipe and you can skip or add or substitute a few ingredients like replace almonds with some other nuts, add some seeds etc. To start off , you should try the original version first and then make the tweaks accordingly.

Just made my batch of granola today. But yours is a very different variation. Will try it next time. I was wondering, how wheat flour will affect the texture of the granola?
