Strawberry season calls for homemade strawberry jam, which is free of any preservatives and so much more nutritious than the store-bought jam! This is a very simple recipe, using only four basic ingredients and very quick to make.

Substitutions & Variations
You can replace frozen strawberries with fresh strawberries.
This is a basic jam recipe and I have used it to make mixed berry jam as well. I am sure mango and guava will work equally well.
Storage & Make Ahead
You can store the jam in an airtight jar in refrigerator for a few weeks to a few months, depending on usage.
You can also freeze strawberry jam for up to 1 year in freezer-safe containers or bags. Thaw frozen jam in the refrigerator before using it, and once thawed, use it within a reasonable time.

Easy homemade strawberry jam recipe without pectin and preservatives, made with just four basic ingredients; a perfect spring/ summer treat!
Ingredients
- 150 grams or 1 ¼ cup Frozen/Fresh Strawberries
- 50 grams or ¼ cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
- ¼ cup Water
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a saucepan.
- Cook on a low heat for about 10-15 minutes until the strawberries are tender.*
- Mash a bit and cool.

* You know it is done when you can mash the strawberries with the back of the fork
